with marissa's question (that ryan was sure she was just asking for some sort of response, even if she already knew the answer), ryan chuckled huskily as he roughly captured her lips in his in a passionate kiss before breaking away to answer. "then i guess we'll just have to seize it. i mean, i don't think anyone's out on the beach at this hour," he mumbled against her skin as his lips moved to below her chin where her head and neck met, his lips making their way down lower and lower so that he was doing the same thing she had done to him just moments earlier.

"after all, we both know how to work with all of this sand ... and we can even try the surf if you're still nervous about the sand," he added on, his voice still partially muffled against the contact he was making with her skin, but still understandable completely.

Marissa could feel a wave of chills run through her as Ryan's lips found her neck. She definitely wanted to try the water out, but not because she was nervous about the sand. "I think I'm for a little swimming," she decided out loud, redirecting Ryan's lips to kiss him full-on on the lips before shedding her top to reveal the bikini top she was wearing underneath. Marissa stood up, climbing off of Ryan's lap and shimmying out of her skirt, stepping out of it once it fell to the ground. She stepped off of the blanket, waiting for Ryan to follow suit. Just as a wave came up and crashed around her feet, she bent down and cupped the water into her hands, then splashing Ryan. Marissa was prepared to run for it deeper into the water if Ryan came after her. She was feeling very reminiscent of their first semi-date in Ryan's pool... except there would be no interruptions on this date.

leave it up to marissa to have her bikini on underneath her clothes. and ryan ... well he didn't. but taking out his phone and wallet, he slipped out of the shirt and jeans he was wearing, leaving him in only his boxers (and no wifebeater). following her into the water, he felt the waves crash against his feet, but when marissa splashed him with water, he was now willing to go after her. pretending to roar in outrage, he set forth to chase her, running after her in the surf with a huge smile upon his face. he hadn't had this much fun in a long time, at least when it didn't involve either sydney or kyle. with marissa? god, that was so long to remember, but he didn't care because he remembered what it felt like and enjoyed the feeling.

of course, with his superb physical shape, he wasn't winded or anything as the game went on between the two of them. of course, not only was he incredibly muscled and such, but his endurance ... let's just say he could do most anything for a very extended period of time.

Marissa immediately turned and started running into the water the moment she saw Ryan start after her. She had a little bit of a disadvantage since she was deeper and the water constricted her as she tried to run, not to mention that Ryan was clearly in better shape than she was, but she both expected and intended to be caught eventually.... that didn't mean she was going to make it easy. Laughing as a particularly large wave hit her in the stomach and almost knocked her over she knew she wasn't going to be able to get much further, so she turned to run along the shore in the knee-deep water, glancing back at Ryan over her shoulder and half shrieked half laughed when she realized he was closer than she had expected.

the game of cat-and-mouse lasted for quite a bit, with the pair of them running through the water, ryan's hulking form able to cut through the water easier than marissa's, but he didn't go full-speed from the start to have some fun with it. of course, when the waves became a bit larger and almost knocked marissa down, he sped up as she ran in the more shallow water, catching up to her after a good sprint and wrapping his arms around her waist, skidding to a halt and keeping her body nice and close to his, the two wet forms sticking together while standing amongst the small waves.

It wasn't long after Marissa had looked behind her that she noticed Ryan running in the more shallow water. She tried to run a little faster but her legs were getting really tired working through all that water, and within moments she felt a pair of arms wrap around her waist and bring her to an abrupt stop. She struggled against his arms, thinking she might be able to break free and run off again, but it only took a second for her to realize that wasn't going to happen. Laughing, Marissa rested her arms on top of Ryan's and leaned back into him. "Alright, alright, I give in," she conceded, figuratively waving her white flag.

even though marissa tried to wriggle away from him, ryan kept his hold tight on her as she then relaxed and waved her white flag of surrender. with her weight leaning back into his body, hs draped his head over her shoulder and rested his chin on the area, his arms making sure she wasn't going to get away from him, now that he had captured her. "good, at least you gave up on your own instead of me having to kiss you," he teased slightly as his lips moved up to the skin of her neck and grazed it lightly as he travelled up to her lips and kissed them lightly yet lovingly.

"Mmhmm," Marissa agreed as she felt Ryan's lips trail up her neck. "Because you kissing me would just be... horrible," she joked, greeting his lips with her own. That sort of alternative stopped being scary or gross when Marissa was in the fifth grade... but the last thing Marissa wanted to think about when she and Ryan were kissing in nothing more than a bikini or boxers was Luke. Marissa's arms wrapped around Ryan's waist, her fingers stroking his back directly above the elastic band of his boxers as she deepend the kiss, massaging her tongue against his. Oh god, Ryan looked amazing... what with the boxers and the muscles and the wet skin and... that messy hair... it was a good thing they were married, that's for sure.

as marissa's arms wrapped around him and she deepened the kiss, ryan could only reciprocate as needed, not wanting the moment to end. sure, kissing had lost its 'nasty' connotation when ryan probably was in the fifth grade as well, but the young ladykiller ryan and his days of chino were way past his mind as he memorized everything about the moment. the kiss, the feel of marissa's body against his, the water, the bikini she was wearing, her fingers against his skin ... it was a very good thing that they were alone, that was for sure.

forgoing any massaging of the tongues and crashing his against hers as soon as she deepened the kiss and tried to make it sensual, but ryan basically made it passionate and hot. yanking his lips away from hers in order to breathe, the blonde moved his hands up her back to where her bikini was tied up, his fingers making quick work of the knot and loosening part of the covering. returning to kiss her once again, his lips found hers hungrily, slowing down upon contact and sensualizing the kiss as slowly as he could.

It was when Marissa felt Ryan's fingers working at the tie to her bikini top that she realized that they hadn't really thought this through... she did not really like the idea of having to hold onto their clothes the first 'real' time they got to have sex in so long. "Mmm, Ryan, wait," she interrupted, pulling away from a kiss she definitely did not want to cut short... but hey, her top was now in Ryan's hands and, well, this wasn't going to work. "We need--" she punctuated with a peck on the lips, "to get our clothes--" on the cheek, "onto the shore," on the neck, lingering there longer this time as her hands slipped downwards under his boxers and pulled them down.

with marissa's sentence - or more like punctuated fragments - ryan moaned slightly as her lips moved lower. it was going so good ... but she did have a point. "why don't we just," he whispered huskily as he moved his head to capture her lips into his own for a brief yet heated kiss before continuing on, "throw them" he punctuated with another heated kiss, "and hope they make it," he finished in a husky voice as she pulled his boxers down and time seemed to move too slow for him. picking her up and holding her close to him, he figured she did want their clothes to be farther up the shore. well, her wish was his command, right?

Man, Ryan's voice... when was the last time Marissa had heard him talk to her like that? She wanted this so badly that she could feel the electricity running between the two of them. Marissa almost lost her progress in removing Ryan's boxers when he lifted her up--she let go of them and they fell around his legs, floating in the water. She wrapped her arms snuggly around his neck to support her weight and buried herself in another intense kiss. "Well you're going to have to get those," she told him, referring to his boxers whilst staying so close as she spoke that her lips brushed against his. She couldn't exactly get them to throw if Ryan had her lifted. She pulled her swim suit top out from between them, clutching it in her hand as she pulled her legs up and wrapped them tightly around Ryan's hips. Her lips crashed back against his, gently nipping his lower lip in hopes of urging him to be quick.

at least the boxers were still around his legs and couldn't go anywhere, right? feeling her body tighten around his, it took all of ryan's willpower to keep on shuffling out of the surf instead of giving into what the two of them wanted. feeling her lips against his, and her teeth shortly after, ryan gave up on any and all hope of reaching the shore. picking one leg up so it was out of the boxers, and then attempted - although not really - to kick the boxers to shore. of course, the way marissa's kisses were intensifying made ryan forget about anything else, but his hands found the bottom of her bikini and attempted to make quick work of the fabric (or lack thereof), but found himself failing with her legs wrapped so tightly around him. slowly getting to his knees, he began to set her down as best as he could, hoping she'd get the idea and help him remove her bikini bottoms.

Marissa could feel Ryan's hands brushing against her hips as he tried to remove her bikini bottoms, but of course that wasn't working so well with her legs wrapped around him. She felt the water climb up to a few inches above her belly buttton as he knealt and sat her down. From there, she wasted no time pulling off the bikini, balling it up with her top and Ryan's boxers. She threw their clothes in the general direction of the shore and left it to fate that all their clothing would stay a good distance away from the water. Her arms found their way around Ryan's neck and she pulled him forward against her as her lips crashed against his for another kiss.

alright, so it seriously was enough of the playing around, at least in ryan's mind. pulling away from marissa's lips after she crashed them up against his own, ryan breathed in and out for a beat before speaking as he looked into her eyes. "i love you," he whispered as then they made sweet, sweet, incredibly sweet ocean love. sure, it's no tiki hut, but when it's ryan and marissa, it just so happens to work out perfectly. right? of course right. and back to you.
