Perhaps the bye week, and 2 weeks of prep time contributed to the win for Centennial. Not that this should be an alibi for Fox or anything...

Why does Fox need an alibi? They lost by 3 points to the top ranked team and obviously the better team on the night. Close game.... both teams played hard from what we've heard. Why are we trying to run teams down? Can't we show a little respect for each other? What's wrong with an injured player being a captain? He's still part of the team right? Let's move on and talk about the playoffs instead of bashing on certain teams or just bashing on everyone. Pretty negative stuff fellas!

I agree 2 of the top teams clashed and one team came out on top by 3 points, if they meet again nothing is certain but a good close game. Another certainty is that Durant cleary is the best player in the province hands down, I thought King was close but the gap has widened IMO. |

Durant is the best player, King is the most overrated.

South kam was down 14-0 within the first 2 minutes, and eventuall down by 21 in the first quarter. But fought back to get within 6 points in the fourth quarter. Awseome game by both teams

It's a very comforting aspect of life, to be certain, Clover. Some stats: Durant...31 touches..187 yds..3 TD's...6.03 yds per carry..or 3.9 yds per carry without the TD runs. King..7 touches..77 yds..1 TD & 81 yds kick returns...7.7 yds per carry without the kick returns. King had man cover responsibility on Pospichil...result..0 touches ..0 yds...0 points And all of this with an injury...basically a one-armed man. Now, Durant is a great player , no doubt about that, but I think these kinds of declarations are somewhat premature. |

First off your stats are off.
Durant's a WR gone QB this year, so he touches the ball on every play. His rushing "touches" don't include his passing yards. It's what he does with the ball when he touches it, and in pretty much ANY position unlike King not to mention Durant's defensive coverage. It's also unfortunate that Durant's 80-85 yard TD run got called back on that cheap call. It wasn't a hold. Because that would give a clearer indication of how easily he ran on Fox and many yards he REALLY had. Plus the few other "holding" calls on a few other decent runs he had, that pushed Cent back. Add those up, you'd be looking at about 250+ yards. And the amazing coverage on Popichil, was because Bobby was also injured, that's why Durant never even threw him the ball once, so his lack of touches truly wasn't a "result" of King's D. On the flip side King got stopped in his tracks and FAST by # 3 several times as well as by Durant in the air... but managed to get 1 TD. Durant's versatility and skill level without a question is the best we have. |

Suit, I'm at a disadvantage in that I have no idea on how serious King's injury is. For the season Durant has been in a class of his own. King is still a great player and if he is fighting through injury as you say he is, it's a testament to his character. |

Sorry...I had no idea Pospichil was playing with one arm only...gutsy of him to play both O & D.....never said Durant wasn't a great player..I was just responding to Clovers' crowning of the King ( no pun intended ) |

"Durant carried 18 times for 146 yards while tailback Nehemie Kankolongo rushed 14 times for 64 yards. The Centaurs, whose two kickers -- including ace wideout Bobby Pospischil -- were both injured, elected to go for two-point converts on every score. Among the standouts on Centennial's offensive line were its two senior guards, left guard Chad Constant and right guard Dennis Pavlovic. Chase Nelson-Murray moved up from his cornerback spot to have an impact within the linebacking core. Patko led the Ravens, carrying 20 times for 78 yards while King carried 12 times for 70 yards. Patko, Ben Sharpe and Jared Soll led the defence with six tackles apiece." |

All starters were out by the 2nd quarter (except for a few special teams) and almost all the players on the field halfway through the 3rd were JV's. Were you even there? Passed 2x in the whole game and didnt run any misdirection in the 2nd half. What would you like us to do ? Tell the JV's to sit down after gaining 10 yards. I know, you would like us to take our best 2 players and give them over to the Mariners at the half to even things up. Should we have gone out there during the week and coached them on tackling? Or maybe sat down with their coaching staff and made them understand what we are doing on offence? Tell me, did you feel the same or make the same comment after their Bellevue game? |

actually I dont have a real problem with it and understand it. it was just manditory I chirp about it, like lotsa people did when cent did the same thing last year, and was accused of "running up the score" even less than nw did in this game. what's good for the goose right?
