Ive seen every midget team in the top 8 play at least once..... I think the MVP has to be North Delta's running back number 21, he also gets my nod for offensive player of the year and for defensive player theres a guy on nanaimo thats pretty good or number 1 from North Delta

In my opinion, here are some possible frontrunners for the player awards.

Offense:

#7 R Jacob Rogers - North Delta
#21 RB Sean O'Neill - North Delta
#8 RB Jimi Parmar - Nanaimo
#82 RB Josh Dunks - Cloverdale
# 4 RB Derrek Halicki - North Surrey Note: MVP Offensive Player in 2009 Starbowl
#13 RB Jeff Cornwall - Coquitlam
#81 R Eric Eggleston - Victoria
#1 R Nathan Leader - White Rock South Surrey
#22 RB Cory Constantin - North Shore
#28 RB/R Steve Bossans - Cowichan
#8 RB Matt Berg - Langley

Defense:

#1 DB Cody Hawkins - North Delta
#23 S Lucas Cordick - North Delta
#21 S Cole Sampson - Nanaimo
#22 MLB Lukas Miner - Nanaimo Note: Last year's Defensive Player of the year
#21 DB Mike Barry - Victoria
# 13 DB Jeff Cornwall - Coquitlam
# 7 S Elliot Jones - Cowichan
#3 S Charles Scott - Langley

The MVP would come from this list.

Top 2 QBs in the league 1) Brandon Leyh - North Delta; 2) Alex Beaudoin - Nanaimo

After thinking it over what we do have to keep in mind is, that knowing the politics of this league anyone from North Delta or Nanaimo will be lucky to win anything. I mean the MVP has to come from ND, unless there is someone soooo much better in the league then everyone, the MVP has to come from the first place team, but I can pretty much guarantee it wont and it will end up North Surreys running back or Cloverdale's running back/receiver I would bet anything on it. Please prove me wrong coaches, we all know the best players in this league play on North Delta and Nanaimo, as we can clearly see with their combined records. Please don't be your old petty selves. Don't punish the players because you don't like North Delta's coach or because you don't get too see Nanaimo all the time.

Yah he is but coaches should also be looking at who needs this award more ?
Lukas is done football after this year and by that I mean getting playing time kids to small for any position. It should go to someone who needs it on their resume for college or uni.

What do you mean that the award should go to the guy "who needs it more?"

It should go to the most valuable player ie. the best player or guy who makes the biggest contribution to his team, not the guy most likely to play at a higher level next year.

How often have we heard it said - oh, he's too small, he's not fast enough, he can't throw far enough, etc.

I guess Doug Flutie was too small (all-star), James "Quick Parker was too small (all-star), Richie Hall was too small (all-star), Weston Dressler is too small (all-star 2009), Wayne Harris (in my mind the greatest MLB in CFL history) was too small (all-star), Brian Kelly and Hugh Campbell weren't fast enough (all-stars), Tom Wilkinson couldn't throw (all-star/hall of famer).

So often people (and poorer coaches in my view) try to find the perfect square peg for the perfect square hole. The gems are often the round pegs in the square holes. The wise coach knows that football is complex and does not come down to simple summations (e.g., "too small").

Lukas will be just fine. I think he has a lot of football ahead of him if he really wants to go for it. He is definitely an MVP candidate.

Yes and the politics make the coaches look like fools. I don't care what anyone else thinks, Ive seen enough games to know that number 21 O'neal from ND is the MVP. Number 7 Jacob Rogers or the QB from ND are the offensive players of the year and the defensive player of the year could be one of two guys from Nanaimo or ND's middle linebacker.
