I think we can deal a lot of damage to them using just this ship alone. I'm checking the ships inventory and i'm kind of shocked right now. There is some kind modified drones in the weapons system. They're larger than the normal drone and he scanners are showing Asgard designs in them as well. I think they're designed to penetrait shields but i'm not too sure.

"this will certainly give us the opportunity for some on the job training, sir. And i know you will fly this thing with your usual expertise".
"And i am already getting familiar with these various systems and sensors. Thanks to that year i did shadowing Sam Carter and her team. I think we can get this baby rocking".
"i guess i should get the weapons systems fully online, with maximum power. Also, i believe we have the hyper-drives online, as well as the cloaking device".

*I settle in and feel immediatley at ease again. We all start checking various monitors, familarizing ourselves with this strange technology. Preparing for the battle ahead, as we get briefed by Viper and Bra'tec.

Go ahead and join the other fighters. There's a whole lot of diffferent fighters in that hanger that Michael escaped from. Choose yer pick. I'm bring the shields online now.

*With a simple thought the same shields that protect Atlantis come to life. I open the weapons bay and charge what appears to be the same energy weapon the Ori use. I fire a test shot at a Wraith crusier. It goes out and hits the crusier in the mid-section and explodes into a fireball.*

Sweeeeet... I just need simby and Eagle to stay behind and help. The rest can join the fight if you want to.

"awesome weapon, sir. One down, many to go". (i smile).

"shields are holding at 100% sir. And the air now matches earth air. Evidently, this life support system can accommodate many races - even at the same time!! This ship is incredible".

"Viper, are there any systems not online yet that we need? I have communications up to 100% now. And, there are some sensors and readings here that i think may be eavesedropping equipement. I am going to tinker with it for a couple minutes and see if i can figure out how to use it".

*I settle back into the console-chair. There is a look of complete amazement on my face. I hope i get a chance to work with Carter again and watch her in action (its poetry to watch her work).*

*I adjust "dials" of various types. Trying to find out as much as i can in short order. All this while waiting for our briefing on the next segment of the mision.*

*over radio* Sniper, here. Is it too late to join in all the fun?

*appears on the other side, behind Viper.*

Hiya, Viper, want me to take over?

"Welcome, Char. Good to have you aboard."

*I continue to study the various displays in front of me. The clarity and definition of the displays amazes me.*

"Whats our plan of attack, Viper?"

I plan for you to lead an attack of you and 12 Motherships against a fleet of Hiveships, crusiers, and several battleships. I plan to lead a few squadrons of Deathgliders against their Darts. I'll be in a Jumper with some of those new drones.

*With that Char takes the seat and I jump into a Jumper and head out. Behind me are 30-40 Deathgliders armed with Sindwinder missles and Naquadda tipped missles.*

To all Deathglider pilots, my name is Viper24 and you will follow my orders. Our mission is to protect the motherships and the Anchient ship from the enemy. We will also unleash our weapons upon the enemy's fleet.

Char I need you to stay behind some of the Motherships. Once you get in range of the enemy ships launch a load of the drones and then shift to any targets of opportinity.

Squadrons Aeres and Atlas converge behind me and get ready to open fire on the incoming Darts. Once you deal with them move in and attack their reserve fighters and then move onto their capital ships. Aim for the engines. We take those out, they'll be easy targets for our heavy ships.

*Both squadrons line up behind me and open fire on the Darts. Several deathgliders get hit and explode. The Wraith were not so lucky. A couple dozen of their fighers get hit with missles while about a dozen more get hit by the gliders cannons. I launch a single drone and it takes off like a bat out of hell. It hits a Dart on the wing but something happens. As it hits it releases a energy wave that goes out and kills four more Darts.*

[To everyone] Damn. Guys try to save those Drones for the heavier class ships. They emit some kind of energy field upon detonation. I just took out five of them with one Drone. I need you and your group to move into a tight diamond formation. The Darts are almost getting through us.

[To Glider Pilots] Group six move your ass, you got four Darts moving towards your six and they're movin' fast. Group 9 head over there and help them out. Group White, you have a light destroyer movin' towards you and he's pumpin' out the ack ack so watch out.

*I watch the action from the command deck. I am amazed at the "new and improved" drones.*

*I carefully set aim at a group of Darts that are creeping up on Viper*

"Viper, heads up, you have 4 darts right behind you. I am going to take them out. Hold on, sir."

*I adjust a couple of buttons and get a lock on the Darts. I fire and a neon-blue light
covers the distance in less than a nano-second. The Darts flash brightly for a second, then disappear in a quiet explosion.*

"Woooooo Hoooooo!!!!!! That's what i'm talking about!!"

4 more notches on my victory belt. hehe.


*I continue to scan the displays. *

"Viper, i am getting a long range signal trying to come in. It appears to be coming from somewhere beyond the Pegasus Galaxy. I don't know if i will be able to bring it in, but i will do my best"

*As i try to hone in on the signal, i think, omg, this signal is coming from a part of the universe i am not familiar with. Wonder what this is going to be about.*

Gotcha, Viper, will do.

*goes back to concentrating on flying and heads for the motherships trying to stay under their radar*

*I franticlly press buttons to get the various weapons systems online to check out the different types of destruction we can unleash upon the unsuspecting wraith. As I translate the code of the different races I soon realise a pattern and start figuring what systems are controlled at the differnt stations. I also begin scimming over the buttons untill one large red one catches my eye and I coudnt help myself to not push it.*

" Everyone this is Eagle and I think I just found a something special that I really cant wait to try out. It seems to be a beam weapon simular to what the ancients used though I definately detect a hint of Asgard inginuity. It really seems quite large in size and looks like its already fully operational as if on standbye this entire time. I am going to flare this thing up and see what I can do! "

*As soon as I get done reporting my new findings i begin to press down onto the button as large cannon sprouts out from the top of the ship. The cannon self ajusts and locks on to a large wraith hive ship but does not fire. I get confused trying to see if I can get it to work as I once again try to desipher the languages on the pannels and to figure out what buttons activate all the different effects among the ship.*

*i enter an idle F-302 in the hangar bay of a mothership*

Viper, this is Halo, I am incoming and have your back!

*i fly up towards the large battle out there and take out two darts as they zoom by me*

sir, do you see that?

look past those motherships, on the other side of the battle, it looks like a hyperspace window opening....nothing is coming out, im going to investigate!

bratac, do you have more ships coming in?

no? dammit, who is this?

*i dont get pas the first mothership before a quick flash flies by my side, i turn my head towards the back of the ship and look out the back hood, several deathgliders explode suddenly*

sir! my sensors are going crazy, all it sees are 10-12 ships zooming around beating the crap out of us!

Damn it don't trust your sensors. Remember that the Wraith have te ability to make you and our sensors see ghosts. Use your eyes.

Group Blue shift your attack on that Wraith cruiser, she's limping towards the back of the fleet.

*I fire a drone towards one of the Wraith battleships. It moves around and goes into one of the many hangerbays. It cause a fuel line to rupure and disables it and a nearby destroyer.*

All ships, shift fire to target dingo 3 and bravo 7. Fire full salvo and for full effect.

*Comes up behind a mothership and sends a load of drones into it, before pulling away as it explodes. A bleeping comes up on the controls in front of her.*

*over radio* Viper, this is Sniper, I have readings that three more motherships are coming up behind us.

You mean hiveships? That's what I'm gettin'.

*Suddenly the Wraith battleship explodes, taking with it a nearby destroyer and a large formation of Darts. That's when I begin to notice something.*

Viper to all ships, Utah beach is open for business. There defenses are breaking. move in and fire everything that you have. If we can break them here we can move the battle into our favor.

*As i watch the battle unfold, i continue to use the ships weapons to take out darts and a hiveship. I make some adjustments and my screen comes into brillant focus. I see a different picture than i did before.*

"Viper, this is spikes, my sensors seem to have adjusted to the wraiths ghosts. There are only 3 hive ships left. One is on your 6.
"Sniper - pull up!!!!! your going to hit the hive ship, pull up NOW!!!!*

*I try to get a lock on the hive ship but know i don't have time for sniper to miss it. Its up to her now, and i hope she heard me loud and clear.*

"Eagle, these sensors have adjusted to show whats really out there. Seems there are not as many ships as we thought."

*hears Simby's call over the radio and immediately pulls up but as she does so, a white beam appears and is transferred into the hiveship*

'What the....'

*over radio*To anybody that can here this, this is Sniper, I have been beamed inside the hiveship. Can anyone here me? Over

Sneaky litte buggers. Coordinate your sensors with the rest of the fleet and try to take out some more of the hiveships.

"Viper, did you copy Sniper? She's been beamed to a hive ship. I have a very weak lock on her, so i doubt i can beam her out of there. I will run interference if you want to go in."

*I continue to watch the console. I move a few buttons and some Asgard like stones. A beam emits from one of the turrets and takes out another hive ship.
I suddenly notice that the Wraith have a new interest in my ship. A hive ship and several darts turn and head toward Eagle and me.*

"Viper, It appears that the Wraith have taken interest in this ship. They are headed this way. Now is probably a good time to head in and go after Char. I am sending you her co-ordinates now. Over."

I'm heading over to get her now.

*As I move in closer the Wraith hiveship begins to fire at me. I launch a few drones into some of the turrets and into the hangerbay. I land and cloak the ship. I move out and shoot some Wraith with my Re'tu gun. I use the radio and call out to sniper.*

Sniper where are you? I've landed in the hiveship. I'm moving up to where I think is the bridge is. If you can meet me there. Woah hold on....

*A Wraith comes around the corner and begins to fire at me. I thrown in a flash bang and knock the guy out. I move around and fire a single shot into the Wraith.*

I'm alright. Just had a little encounter with a Wraith guard.

* I start looking over the areas that I have began translating and seeing that the button I had pressed seemed to be one of the hybrids of technology that was developed for immediate use as a defensive or offensive weapon. It seemed though as I looked for a way to power the weapon up that every button seemed to activate some type of shield or outer gunnery weapon but nothing to fire the cannon though I knew it had to be there somewhere. Soon as I was looking back over towards Sims I saw another strange button with a strange language written over it and it seemed that it was seperate from the other controls.

" Hey Sims whats that button over there for? It seems to look similar to teh one I just pushed. I can seem to get the activated weapon working though as it doesn't seem to be responding. Maybe a push from that button can help push it in the right direction. I sure do hope everyone is ok over in the wraith ship but I guess we have to worry about ourselves right now. I figure if we can get this weapon working it will at least give us a good chance and I don't want to risk getting raided by those damned wraith. We cant let them take this ship. The ancient that showed up surely had to have known that wraith were in the area and that we would come to battle like this so their just has to be a weapon here that can protect us and destroy the fleet of wraith once and for all. If we don't do something soon it certainly wont be good for the Jaffa or the Tauri. What am I saying? Come on Sims I know we can do it. We can defeat the wraith as long as we give them everything we got. Let's do this!"

"i don't know what that button is for. Was hoping you did. I can fire these phaser like weapons so that will keep us safe for now. But, we may have to cloak and move elsewhere, and i don't want to leave them guys to their own devices".

*I lock the weapon on the closest drones and fire. They disintergrate instantly.*

"A few more down. Geez, where are they all coming from? Its like they are multiplying right before us. Sensors show 5 more hive ships headed this way - we should get a visual on them in about 20 seconds."

*I spread some fire near the ship that Char and Viper are in, not hitting any vital parts of the ship but effectively rendering it dead in the water.*

"Viper, i disabled the hiveship you are on. That should give you some time while the Wraith deal with that. You seem to be near Char but one floor up from her. Sending new co-ordinates to you now".

(geez, i wonder where all our allies are. Never seem to be with us when we need them. Until the very last minute, of course).

*upon hearing the faint chatter over the radio, she picks it up and calls* Viper, it looks like I have been beamed into one of their holding cells.

Roger, I got you locked on. I'm coming to get you, just hang tight.

Will do. I just don't want to be around when they start to get hungry.

Heh, copy that. I be there in a few seconds, just hang tight.

*I move through the hiveship and finally come across the brig. and see char. I feel like Apollo from BSG seeing Starbuck behind the bars in the brig. aboard Galactica.*

Stand back, I'm going to blow the doors.

*I set a charge to the door and blow it up. She comes out coughing and waveing the smoke away.*

You alright? Here you may need this.

*I hand her a Re'tu gun and a zat.*

Come on lets get out of here before some of our friends come over to see what the noise was.

Thanks. *coughs* Yeah, fine. *coughs and follows Viper back through the ship.*

"Alright Im firing the rail guns now, It seems there is weapons for all sort of emergancys on this ship. I definately know how to use these guns of good ol Tauri craft. These size of guns and bullets ought to be enough to put a dent in these damned infernal wraith. They will most certainly pay by our hadns and this is just the way to do it."

*I begin to shoot down multiple darts in the air as the come closer to our position. The darts begin to explode and destroy the other close to them as they are packed in the air so tightly. The sheer numbers begin to be their downfall as more and more ships get destroyed by the destruction of their own vessels.*

" Take that you wraith scum. You will never beat us, I promise you that. Hey Sims why don't we get this ship up in motion and see if we cant double our shield energy and try to lure the wraith ships apart and see of we can spread them out so Bratac and the crew have an easier time. I know far well that they can take care of themsleves but it never hurts to help right. Well what do ya say, im going to need your help."

"good idea sir, i'll get on it right away"

Simby, Eagle... we're almost to the hangerbay. How are you guys holding up out there?

"Viper, we got the shields up to max and are taking out ships as we speak. But i don't know how long that will hold. But we are doing this on the fly so to speak. It would help to have extra hands and not be trying to learn how to use things under these conditions."

*A crystals explodes in the panel i have been working on and i quickly replace it with the one i have in my hand, getting burned for my effort.*

"we need you guys here asap so we can lock down and move out, over"

Copy that. Just give us a few more minutes and then we're outta here.

*We turn around the corner and see several Wraith near where I landed the jumper.*

This is not good. We need to clear our way to the jumper without using explosives. You take the ones from the left, I'll take the ones on the right.

*I continue replacing burned out crystals in the panel. The burn on my hand is not helping, but i grit my teeth and replace crystals as fast as i can.*

"Eagle, we should have full beaming capabilities now. Can you get a lock on viper and Char and get them out of there?"

*Slapping the last crystal in, i close the panel and quickly move to the next*

"Shields are at 100% now," i breathe out, taking a slight moment to catch my breath, i quickly move on to the last panel and slam the last crystal in place.
A loud, pleasant humming begins immediately.
"I got this baby humming, Eagle, all systems now at max!!".

*I sit down on the floor for a second to rest, then jump up and head back to Eagle.*

Yep, sure. *nods*

*I then place the Re'Tu gun in one hand and the zat gun into my other and aim them at the Wraith*

Ready when you are Viper.

Alright lets do this.

*We begin to fire at the Wraith with a crossfire effect and catch them by surprise. Within seconds there were 8 dead on the ground and another 3 wounded by the concentration of fire from the Re'tu guns. They move into the back of the hangerbay near the heavy shield doors. I decloak the jumper and tell har to get in. She does and I soon follow her. I climb in and power up. I turn towards the big heavy shield doors and fire a 2 round burst of drones into them, everything inside the hangerbay gets sucked out. We jet out and head from our new prize.*

Simby, Eagle this is Viper over. I have Char and we're heading towards you. Just watch our backs and we'll be there in a few minutes.

"Copy that, Viper. And, we got this baby humming over here. So hurry back."

*i enter the main arena, and see Eagle hard at work in front of one of the command stations.*

"what you got there, Eagle??? Oh, did you copy viper? They are headed back."

*The burn on my hand needs attention and i give it its due, 30 seconds and a quickly placed burn bandage. As i do this i walk over to Eagle and start working at the weapons station. I focus on the Wraith hive ship that Viper and Char just exited*

"Viper, you've got company on your six. I will take out the hive ship and what i can of the lil guys, over"

*I place a well-placed beam from the front weapon array on the hive ship. Nothing happens for a second. Then the hive ship swells slightly and explodes in a huge ball of colored lights, taking out the darts that just exited and leaving clean space where it just was.*

Thanks for the save. I'm almost to the landing bay. Once I land jump to hyperspace and head to Atlantis. Master Bra'tac will be able to take out the remaining Wraith ships once we leave.

*I dodge Wraith blasts from darts and crusiers. I get out of range of their weapons and land in the hanger.*

We're aboard! Get us the hell outta here now!

"entering hyper-space now, sir"

*Eagle instantly takes us to hyper space as i take out one last group of darts. We cruise smoothly, come out of hyper-space, and see Atlantis just ahead of us*

"Well, done, i would say, now who's buying that first round?"

1..2..3 not me. LOL! Nah first and last round is on me.

"lol, viper, i will buy the first round. You can get the last. A very good mission, i think."
