Four robes figures stood in a circel, fscing each other. All of them wore long green robes, with brown leather belts. They also had wepaons. Massive ritual knives and swords were kept in there belt, covered in sheaths or leather. They all had hoods over there faces so no-one, not even if they were up close, could see the features of the hooded faces. But not all were the same.
1 of the strangers wore exactly the same as everyone else, but had a different weapon and scabbard. The sword was strangle curved one way, and the half way up, it curved the other way. It had strange symbols on the handle, but the blade was unseen to the eye. A scabbard was covering it.
The scabbard to had strange curvings, but this time they were curved and engraved. The sheath was made of oak wood, and someone had handcrafted these beautiful engravings into, creating a wonderful, and powerful sword.
And one thiong was certain, the sword wasnt made in this derelict land. All around was ash, and the occasional poopy on the ground. Huge pieces of metal protuded from random spots in the ground, and arrows and swords lay to waste on the god-forsaken ground. No living things were present apart from the occasional plant, and if lucky, a mouse or rat. Strangely, there were no dead bodys on the ground, apart from one, which was layed on the ground in the middle of the ring of figures.
Then, the figure with the strange weapon, spoke. he spoke words, words of life,
" Life is given unexpectedly. Wounded have a chance. The living have already had there chance. But the dead may not have a chance, for within there body, lay a spirit, a dead spirit. But the spirit maybe gone, when entered into the body, a seed goes." he said this without moving, and suddenly blue balls of light came from each persons head and floated to the ground. The leader 9or so looked like it) stepped quietly to the 4 balls of light, and placed a seed.
Almost at once the body of the elf choked and leaned forwards, away frokm its leaning position. He turned his head and said something unusual,
"You shouldnt of done that. They can smell life. Even the smallest amount. Then they hunt them down, and feed on there life. Put me to sleep NOW! or may the dark elf Clan never again, alliance with the Druids."
"You may have your life taken away from you but first tell us something we need to know. Something dearly needed if you race, and ours may live. Who are "they"?" this time, a womans voice came out. It was soft, yet hard, and the Elf immideately looked towards the druid.
"You are strange young Druid. You live young although never achieve knowledge. That may be an insult to you, and your house, but it is true. never trust an elf." And with that, he grabbed the sword of the young female and struck his heart with it. He had found the right place, and he died quickly, the power fading away. The female druid hurried over by his side and shook him,
"No, Drazoor! No! Why did you do this? Why? If only you knew it was me, Farah you sister." She started to weep over his dead body, and the leader stepped forward, unvieling his face from the hood.
"Im sorry farah. We could'nt let him know it was you, or the Wizards would know we were here. They have mind-stalked him for years now. Im so sorry. Come, we must leave quickly. Wizards and Humans will both soon appear and we have stayed invisible for too long to be uncovered, because Drazoor died." the features of his face showed nothing at all. His plain face only moved slightly when he spoke. Soon after he had made bis speech he started walking away.
Farah knew he was sad too. Drazoor had saved his life in school, and he had saved his. But although she wanted to just scream and stay with her dead brother, she leapt up quickly and obeyed him. She followed silently, ignoing the straight faces of the 3 other Druids.
She followed Barrazt till they reached there camp and she held the door open for her 2 other Druid friends, Regit and Dwati. There full names were long and complicated, only sayable in the Saraman tounge which she wasnt fluent enough to speak in. They went into and sat down on there seats.
They both unvieled there hoods of from there faces and revealed there identical faces. they were twins. Exactly the same nose, blue eyes, and smiling mouth. She knew them well enough to be able to sleep with them, but obviously she didnt.
"hey regit, you have something on your head."
Regit reached p to scratch his head, but just before contact, something slammed down on his head. he had realised it was his own hand, being controlled by Dwati."
"D, if you dare do that gaian, i will personally take your power and strangle you for 10 days straight...You clear D?"
Dwati answered yes, half laughing, half trying to keep a straight face.
"yes i understand. Now, im off to bed, anyone want roast Regit?"
"How dare you!" regit shouted as he felt his whole body heating up. he chased after him into the bedroom. Farah was about to get relaxed on the sofa, when, Barrazt came into the room.
" You know, i was only trying to be proffesional what i said earlier. Those two recruits in there are going to be the future clan peacekeepers. Although i think they'd like having power over 2 clans...who hate each other...and would do anything that 2 mischievious Druids would tell them"
"Ha ha, real funny Bar. Im not in the modd for your lame remarks and those 2s jokes. Im just going off to bed, but before she could get off the stool, barrazt stopped her.
"You know farah, we didnt need to question Drazoor. Before he even finished saying that They could find life, i knew what they were. The Urkals have come down from the mountains. They will hunt for energy, even if they couldnt hold any more. many die in battle after they introduce new power to there systems from a different race. thats why they never usually come down here. But when we came over, while you werent looking i picked up a piece of cloth. It had urkal blood on and i Anylysed it...They've eloved farah. Evolved into terrible beasts. My powers said that they can now hold extra strenght from different races plus there own, without anyone knowing or sensing it. So if they reach the City then the wizards will think they have got normal power, But 1 can be 10 times as strong as 10 of there wizards. Top wizards. We must help..."
But before he could finish what he coudl say, they both sensed very strong magic from outside. farah looked outside the front of the tent and saw a monster. A huge beats, with blue balls being sticken everywhere out of all parts of his body. She could see crowds of beasts hurrying up the sides of mountains. This urkal was lone and scared, probaly young and not able to control its extra power. then suddenly it stopped still, and looked in farahs eyes. She knew at once hat she had spotted him and she quicly turned around,
"All of you, run out the back. Lone urkal. And without meaning to she shouted in a different tounge Saraman.
"ou stupid fools, run!" Astonished at her fluency in Saraman, she stood still. then remmebered that huge snarling beast was chasing after them, and she ran. She saw the 3 other druids standing, balls of energy at the ready. before anyone could do anything, the tent flew into the air and landed far behind them. The urkals horns and fur turned a slight sjhade of blue and he strode towards them.
"come on Bar, Reg, and D. lets dispose of the rubbish!"
