Title: Bad times, bad luck

Sadiki Tala - November 9, 2006 03:24 AM (GMT)
A girl walked through the streets, somehow not drawing any attention to herself. Not many others were out at the moment, worried about the government. Weither by fearlessness or stupidity the girl didnt seemed worried like the others. Boots were silent, even on the crumbling streets. Her clothings marked her as an outsider, if the markings hadnt already. Black and purple hair shown as she walked.

Hearing a group detatch themselfs from the corner she glanced back, noticing they seemed to be trailing her. Eyes narrowed and she continued on her way, sighing when she turned a corner to a dead end. Nose twitched andshe turned, glancing at the weapons the group of boys held. 'desperate times call for stupidity.' She thought and glared, not wanting to hurt them.

Vessuru - November 9, 2006 03:37 AM (GMT)
Vessuru was strolling down the barren streets, his mind open to everything in the area worth sucking dry. He sometimes came to the surface to admire the desolation, as well as gain a bit of energy here and there. He paused, hearing the boots of a squad running the streets. He grinned to himself as he poked his head around the corner, assuming they were one street over and he was walking parellel. He placed a hand on the half-ruined skyscraper as he watched them pass, bits of stone crumbled in his hand. Only four... what a joke in this section of town, he thought. Suddenly the squad turned a corner and stopped, and he wondered why till his eyes caught sight of a woman they must have been chasing. He walked briskly down the street in the direction of the men, silently standing behind them as one in front called out to the woman, "State your number and rank under penalty of death!" They lifted their weapons threateningly. Vess looked to his feet and quietly picked up a small shard of glass. Ever so skillfully, he positioned his arm over the back-left soldier's shoulder and jammed it into his throat. The soldier fell over with a thud and the guy beside him turned to see what was happening as the point of Vess's scythe jammed it's way between the next soldier's eyes, impaling the human's skull. The third soldier cried an alarm before Vess could launch another attack.

Sadiki Tala - November 9, 2006 03:44 AM (GMT)
she growled and head one speak. "Yea, Ill give you a number alright." Before she could do anything though, another fiure appeared. She didnt looked horrified or scared as he killed two of the four men, just jumped towards the one who called out. Hand clamped on his throat and his airway was crushed. Before the last man could attack she kicked out at him, heel connecting with his cheek and his neck snapped. Silver eyes watched him collapse dead and looked at the boy who had helped her. "Thanks." She said and gave a small bow, though body was tense in cae he tried to attack her.

Vessuru - November 9, 2006 03:52 AM (GMT)
The butt of Vessuru's scythe pounded on the asphalt as he held it like a walking stick with the blade pointed away from his head. He bowed deeply, left arm bent across his stomach. His small red garment and black hair bent with him. "My pleasure..." he stated as he rose. He glanced down at the bodies, "It is a shame they died so quickly, though... I was hoping to feed for a while." He glanced up at her with a slight shake as if forgetting his place. "My apologies, Miss. Vessuru, at your service." He bowed again, though not nearly as low as the first time. When he was upright again, he said, "And you are...?"

Sadiki Tala - November 9, 2006 03:56 AM (GMT)
She blinked as he spoke and waited for him to finished before speaking herself. "You feed on humans? I didnt know anyone still did that. From what I've heard the wars have made them horrible to eat." She anwsered and anwsred, though not bowing this time. "Sadiki. Pleasure to meet you." She looked at the blood on her hand and licked it off before grimancing. "I was right, nasty. So I doubt you feed off their flesh, do you?" It was more a statement than a question.

Vessuru - November 9, 2006 04:13 AM (GMT)
He shook his head and glanced at his scythe, which was starting to drip on the pavement. "No, I don't feed on their flesh... And a gross thought at that." He shook his head at the dead body before continueing, "I feed on their energy. I'd do it to you, but I'd like to ask first, since that was a really nice kick to the head. He glanced down at the soldier she had killed. He spoke without looking back at her. "It won't hurt, and I know when to stop before it starts affecting you." He pulled out a dark handkerchief and started cleaning off his scythe, muttering to himself, "Bleh... it's like stepping on a cockroach."

Sadiki Tala - November 10, 2006 12:01 AM (GMT)
She laughed at his anwser silently and watched him. "I doubt you are worried about me hurting you with that sythe of yours. Explain more aout this energy thing you do. " She said and moved away from the bodys to the remains of a house. Two of the walls remained standing and she hauled herself onto one, settling herself easily. Light colored eyes watched him.

Vessuru - November 10, 2006 02:27 AM (GMT)
Kotah finished cleaning the blood off of his scythe with a grimace, glancing at the handkerchief, wondering if he should just toss it. When he looked up to respond, she was ontop of a ruined wall. "Everyone has energy, as I'm sure you are aware. We run, we jump, we play, then we sleep. You people gain that energy back when you sleep." He studiously watched his scythe as he continued, detailing it with his thumb whenever he saw a small streak. "I do not. Instead..." He stuck his thumb in his mouth and muttered with a foul expression, "You weren't kidding..." He then spoke back up. "Instead I feed on that energy, slowly draining it as I pass by, or every time i shake someone's hand. I can control when it happens, of course, but I'm not yet able to... gorge myself in it. It takes me a while to reanimate myself completely." He spun the scythe around in a circle, the butt crunching against small pebbles of pacement. "If I take small bits at a time, I hear it feels wonderful for whoever it's happening too. Makes them all warm and fuzzy inside." He glanced at her over his shoulder, watching for her response.

Sadiki Tala - November 10, 2006 02:41 AM (GMT)
Sadiki gave a simple nod, waching him quietly. She held no weapon to clean, besides her hand and luckily that was easily cleaned. Sadly her nose was more sensitive to smells and their scent was not a appeasing one. Seeing his expression she smiled, but managed not to laugh. "Like the vampires I hear mothers tell their little ones? One instead of blood you take energy?" She asked. Hearing the comment about the ones who get this done to she shook her head. "IT may be true, but I do not believe it." Sadiki said.

Vessuru - November 10, 2006 03:14 AM (GMT)
"The Sanguivorous.." He muttered into his scythe. "Yeah, we're like them. Less... messy, if you ask me. He shrugged, turning around to face her. "We could always try it, if you like." He said, refering to her disbelief. "In addition, it takes a rather long time for your body to become lethargic, with the rate i typically go at. I can slow it down even further, if you like."

Sadiki Tala - November 10, 2006 03:23 AM (GMT)
She nodded. "I dont think energy can become messy like blood, though correct me if im wrong." She said and stretched slightly, seemingly careless of where she sat. Nose twitched as she thought for a moment before speaking again. "Lethargic? It take me abit longer than it would some human." She anwsered him and jumped down. Curiousity had finally bested her and she held out her hand.

Vessuru - November 10, 2006 03:31 AM (GMT)
"Oh no, you misunderstand." He waved a hand dismissively. "I mean to say they're the messy ones, not I." He nodded his head as if bowing. "I apologize for the confusion."

As she jumped down and walked over to him, he raised an eyebrow. When she stuck out her hand, he did his best not to laugh, though a wide grin escaped. "That's not necessary. Infact..." His eyes went past her shoulder, a typical routine of his every time he wanted to view the auaric energy. He watched his energy reach out with tendrils, thirsting for someone else's energy. Only sending two, he waited a few seconds after the connection was made, till he was sure she would start feeling that warm, cozy sense. "Now then... How's that?" He continued to syphon slowly, though his words held implications of ceasing.

Sadiki Tala - November 10, 2006 03:49 AM (GMT)
She laughed and shrugged. "Eh, I meant it was kind of hard for you to be messy." She anwsered and watched him.

She put her hand back to her side, wondering what he was doing. Hair rose at the back of her neck but she dismissed it easily. After awhile she felt a sense of warmth and blinked before realizing he caused it. "I admit it, I was wrong. Does make you feel warm." She told him. Other than the warmth she didnt feel anything. She wondered something and voiced it. "Do energies feel different? Like if you were to take an elf's then a human, would there be a difference in energy?"She asked.

Vessuru - November 10, 2006 04:01 AM (GMT)
He pondered thoughtfully on her question with another studious expression. "You know... I don't know if there's a difference in race. Lightning storms are nice, when I can find one. Very nice indeed. There is, however, a difference in moods. If one person is happy, and another angry, the energy is different." He shrugged idly and stopped feeding off her energy. "I've never given thought to different races, though."

Sadiki Tala - November 10, 2006 04:09 AM (GMT)
She didnt seemed too suprise by his anwser, but she didnt act as if she suspected the anwser either. "Someone in a foul mood probably is not as plesant as someone in a good mood?" She asked. He interested her for some reason, she usually didnt ask as many questions.

Vessuru - November 13, 2006 08:45 PM (GMT)
Vess shrugged. "The different moods are simply different energies. They don't feel the same, atleast not on me, because I have a sort of mental shield from the emotion itself. Growing bored with what he was talking about, he examined the haft of the scythe before picking it up and letting the blade fall, splitting open a hole in the road. Dust and small debris jumped on impact. Despite the weight of the scythe, he had lifted it with ease, latching it on his back, the dark blade looming ominously above the pavement. "However, anger has a much larger supply and the "warming" effect calms them down instead. Though, to my understanding, there were different types of... me long ago that can actually feed off the actual emotion and they live off of those. In that case, unstable emotions could be very dangerous."

Sadiki Tala - November 13, 2006 11:33 PM (GMT)
She nodded and jumped off the wall, landing of her feel easily. Standing she looked at his sythe for a moment and her nose twitched slightly, heaing something. She turned and looked towards the street, hearing someone calling for others. Eyes narrowed and she barely kept the low growl from rising audibly. "Others are coming." She told him, her voice showing they were probably like those before.

Vessuru - November 14, 2006 12:00 AM (GMT)
His eyes followed hers as he glanced down the street. The corner of his eye twitched. "I have a proposition." He turned his head to look at her. "I'll help you kill these guys if you keep one... sorta alive for me."

Without waiting for a response, he walked down the alley Sadiki had been cornered in before. Placing a hand on the wall of a half-destroyed office building, he stepped back a few feet, grabbed his scythe from his back, and swung with the reversed end of the scythe. The staff blew a decent sized hole as he struck twice more. He motioned her to follow him as he crawled inside and stood by a blown-out window on the far side of the room. His footsteps were marked by dirt and dust as he waited for the right time to ambush.

Sadiki Tala - November 14, 2006 01:40 AM (GMT)
Sadiki turned her head to look at him and gave a nod to show she understood. "As long as they dont try anything too stupid." She anwsered.

She continued to watch him as he walked to the building, wondering what he was doing. She was anwsered when he took his sythe and blew a hole into the wall using the weapon. Steps were silent as she followed him, careful not to make any noise. She waited as well behind him. Outside a group of seven was making their way towards the street, hearing about the missing group. They were quick to finsd their dead comrades and searched all of them, as if trying to figure out how they were killed. Two walked towards the building, maybe thinking to talk to anyone who might have seen. Thinking tey saw something they walked straight for where the two hid.

Vessuru - November 18, 2006 04:59 AM (GMT)
Vess waited around the edge of the wall for the two soldiers. One of them poked their head in a decayed window left of Vess. Rearing his scythe, he decaptiated the soldier with ease. The other one, seeing his teammate fall, jumped in the window on the right side of Vess with a yell. Using the momentum from the decapitation, he let his scythe continue on it's path as it impaled the man through the gut. Vess yanked on the blade, cutting the man in half vertically. Peaking out the window, he saw the other soldiers charging. He pulled his head back in just in time to dodge a thrown daggar.

Sadiki Tala - November 19, 2006 05:20 AM (GMT)
After he cut the man in half she darted out, ducking to miss the dagger. Heel of her hand quickly rose to connect with a soldier's face, after using her other hand to grab his wrist before he could use his weapon. As he dropped, she changed.

Bones started to pop and caught the guards attention, thoughh oddly they didnt attack her. Her back legs popped into place, though the kne was the opposite way. She fell onto her arms and bones changed along her spine as well, dark fur formed and covered her body as tail sprouted from her rear. Face changed, jaw lengthening into a muzzle and soon a wolf with markings stood before them. Teeth bared, revealing sharp canines and she attacked at another one. Powerful jaws caught anothers soldiers wrist and brought him down before they let it go and clamped down on his neck. Teeth severd through arteries and shredded muscles before she let him go to run after another guard, ignoring the one that seemed after Vess. Instead of killing him though, she just brought him don and kept him pinned, muzzle close enough to his face he could feel her breath and see her teeth from the corner of his fear striken eyes. he trembled under her weight, and was smart enough to not try and escape.

Vessuru - November 20, 2006 02:43 PM (GMT)
Vessuru walked out after her, watching with a keen interest. Facing off against the foe that she missed, he parried a pair of swings with the shaft of the scythe and landed a blow to the head, knocking the soldier down. He lifted the wicked blade, the terrified face reflected in the dark metal. Vess glanced back up at Sadiki as he let the blade fall on the man's forhead, splitting his skull in twain.

He walked up to the victim she had captured. Glancing at her, then to the panic-striken soldier, he rose the butt of his scythe and brought the blunt end down on his head, knocking him out cold. Vess knelt with a hand on the soldiers head, drawing the precious life-energy from the third-eye region.

"A wonderful display you have, Sadiki. A wonderful display indeed. I must say, I'm rather jealous; your alternate form is truely gorgeous."

Sadiki Tala - November 20, 2006 07:04 PM (GMT)
Tail gave a slight movement as he approached. Some part of her mind, probably the more wolven part wanted to strike at him as he went after HER prey. Luckily she didnt listen to that part of her mind and moved off the unconcious human, sitting down near the two. Dark eyes watched the human and turned to Ves as he spoke. A deep laugh seemed to rumble in her throat before she spoke. Her voice was deeper but still held a feminine tone.

"Thank you. Your sythe is a joy to watch in action, you weild it well. My sire gave me the markings, my dame the coloring."

She licked her paw before rubbing it against her muzzle, trying to get the blood she couldnt reach with her tongue. After a few minutes she finished and settled, tail curled slightly.

Vessuru - November 20, 2006 07:54 PM (GMT)
He sat down the rest of the way, keeping his hand on the unconscious soldier while draining away his life. He laid his scythe across his lap and pulled out the same bloody handerchief. He muttered something about having to clean it again as he wiped a small splatter of blood on the rear end where he had bashed the fellow he was currently draining. The blade was dripping a considerable amount on the other side. "What can I say? I feel the dark blues and purples are wonderful colors, especially on you. You wear them well." He slid the scythe so that it was easier to reach the blade. He brushed most of the excess blood and gore from the weapon, then simply tossed the handkerchief on the ground before pulling another from the same pocket.

Sadiki Tala - November 20, 2006 08:52 PM (GMT)
Ears caught his mumble and she gave another laugh. "One good thing about my form, never have to clean weapons." Sadki said and looked at the soldiers dead. You could tell the difference between their kills. His were clean cuts while hers were either broken skines or ripped out throats. The smells of the dead were caughtin her nose and she sneezed. "do you know of the place gifted are trying to create an oasis from?" She asked, wondering if he knew at all about it.

Vessuru - November 20, 2006 09:12 PM (GMT)
He nodded in her direction without looking up. "What about your claws? Besides, don't you have to clean dirt off those as well as blood?"

Vess finished up by crumpling the first handkerchief inside the second, more clean one and stuffed them into a pocket on the inside of his red cloak. He rubbed his nose with the back of his arm, glancing at the dead bodies irascibly before looking at her. "The floating island, you mean? Yeah, I just came from there, actually. Too peaceful, if you ask me... Besides, I like the ruined look." He glanced around him at the broken landscape with a nod. "The edge of the island is nice, though. You should see it sometime."

Sadiki Tala - November 20, 2006 09:21 PM (GMT)
She gave it a thought. "Your right, but teeth re much better a a weapon. Besides human form can take care of the dirt."

Ears perked considerably when he spoke of the island. "You've actually been there? It probably is peaceful, seeing as it has no ungifted people in it." She told him. "Maybe one day I will." She mumbled thoughtfully and stood, stretching. Muscles rippled under her coat as a few bones popped.

Vessuru - November 20, 2006 09:31 PM (GMT)
He raised an eyebrow at her. "You mean you havn't been there yet? Care to join me on the return trip?" He stood with his scythe, placing it in the harness on his back. "Did you have business here first, or do you enjoy the walks like me?" He stood, the head of his victim still firmly in his grasp. The body rose limply, threatening to snap under the akward angle Vess was carrying it at. He looked down at it before hoisting it over the shoulder opposite of his scythe handle, engulfing the body with his aura. He pointed at it, "I'm almost done."

Sadiki Tala - November 21, 2006 04:45 AM (GMT)
Tail gave a small wag. "I have yet to but I would enjoy doing so." She watched him put away the sythe and gave a small shake of her head in anwser. "No, I am away from everyone currently, just roaming." Sadiki anwsered. She looked At the body, seeing the odd way it was carried and almost voiced that before he shifted the body onto his shoulder. "Take the time you need, Im in no hurry." She told him and sat.

Vessuru - November 23, 2006 06:31 AM (GMT)
Tossing the limp body to the ground, he knew it was dead, and she probably would notice the lack of breathing in it. "Reguardless, I'm finished." He kicked the body away from his foot, the skull thumping limp on the pavement. "If you would care to join me to the island... I'll be leaving now." As he started walking, he asked curiously, "So there's more of you, I take it? Must be nice having similar company to fall back on."

Sadiki Tala - November 23, 2006 11:57 PM (GMT)
Nose twitched as he dropped the body and she knew it was dead. Paws barely made a sound on the ground, nails hitting stone occasionally as she followed him. "It used to be, but most our pack was killed or captured a while back. Most of the survivors either belive they should go fter the captured ones and try to kill the government, the others we should hide. I left while they argued." She anwsered and let out a sigh.

Vessuru - November 25, 2006 07:02 AM (GMT)
Vessuru smiled at the clicking of Sadiki's claws. He always enjoyed that sound, and he never understood why. Cat and dogs alike... well, wolves now too, I supose.

He shook his head as she spoke. "I'm not sure what to say to that... On one hand, I agree with you, but I also know that sometimes thinking about it is better." He shrugged. "Oh well. You're here now, for better or worse. For the better, I pray."

OOC: Whenever you want to make a topic on the island, go ahead. Doesn't matter where; The lake, fields, forests, or the grounds themselves are all fine. Or we could pop into one of Alias's threads XD

Sadiki Tala - November 25, 2006 08:55 AM (GMT)
She gave a small sneeze. "It can be but once they start baring teeth and bringing physical pain to the mental pain they were already feeling its enough for me at least. I agree that talking can be good at times." Lykos anwsered. She never noticed the sound unless she was hunting or it was another creature, she never minded it either really.

OOC:Ill make it tomorrow once my friend leaves ,its late and Im half dead, sorry >.< Probably one of Alias's if they dont mind Ill ask tonoght and If they say n Ill make on in the morning, k?
