Friday the 13th, August, 2010 the day the civilised world collapsed….. Human nature is a callous mistress we are kind caring and loving and yet we can be vile evil and destructive, the end came down to one simple aspect of human nature that of loathing the different. For many years human have persecuted each other even from the dawn of time the weakest were culled of. Throughout our history cruel acts of injustice have been enacted against those that were different, Romans against Christian, White man against Coloured man, Nazis against Jews and many more examples.

1940 was in all actuality the beginning of the end the first plans were drawn up for the weapon that would end humanity as we know it….the atomic bomb. The first instance of use of this destructive bomb was made by America dropping it on major cities in Japan. For years after this their was tension and unease surrounding the subject of Nuclear bombs the cold war is just one example where the two super powers of the time Russia and America had the power to nuke each over and every one feared a war.

Well they got one although not the one they were expecting during 2000-2010 their was much fear over terrorism attacks came all over the world from different organisations. America went to war in two different countries but it was not until 2006 that the threat the ended the world came apparent. The country of North Korea began to produce its own nuclear weapons paying little head to the warnings that the United Nations gave them.

Friday the 13th, August, 2010 the first missiles were fired they came from all over launching from different counties. The Terrorist organisation ‘Apocalypse Now’ had stolen the weapons from Korea and made simultaneous launches from all over the world. The countries had now idea what was going on and those with nuclear weapons launched their own over 250 Nuclear bombs went off that day as well as thousands of minor bombs all over the world ending civilization as we now it.

This is were Apocalypse Now is set in the aftermath of this war set in what remains of America you are the survivors. Jack Strider head of the Apocalypse Now group who survived in an underground bunker has set himself up in one of the only surviving building of New York the Empire State building stood intact through the bombings will you join his ‘New Order’ or live as a neutral or have you become one of the twisted humans mutated by the atomic radiation unleashed on the world.
