[Dreamer]

Dovepaw gasped, perplexed. No, not at all! Blazepaw... she trailed off. I had a good time just being with you. I don't care if we climb or not! I just hate when I don't think and it turns out to hurt someone else. She sighed. She hadn't meant to make him feel like it was his fault. It's not your fault at all! she exclaimed. Dovepaw was devastated. She had totally ruined the moment, she never thought before her actions were carried out.

"But it is my fault. It's my fault for being so...so...weak. I can't stay up in a tree, when we're not even that high up, without getting freaked out.. Everyone thinks I'm so great, just because my father was a powerful warrior. I'm sorry. I'm sorry for bringing this up.." Blazepaw meowed. A few leaves fell from the the tree and landed between the two apprentices almost in a line.

"Besides, you didn't hurt me, I just really wanted to be with you," Blazepaw gulped, "I would've done anything to be with you, so something bad or good, in this case not so good, was bound to happen.."

She twitched her ears, doubtful. Maybe we should just... she paused. Stop blaming ourselves? Becuase I'm blaming me and you're blaming you and you certainly don't need to be and I end up going in circles. The she-cat smiled sheepishly with a soft 'heh' sound. She looked away. Wow, this is really awkward, she thought. And you are great. Not because your dad was, but because your just you. And you're absolutely great in your own way! Your kind, and sweet, and determined... you have a lot of qualities that the other apprentices - and I - lack. Dovepaw looked at Blazepaw earnestly. I had a really good time today, she wanted to say, but couldn't seem to find her voice.

"You're right...We should..." Blazepaw meowed without finishing his sentence. He watched the leaves that fell almost in a line between the two. The wind began to blow again, blowing the leaves away. Blazepaw's eyes stared at the ground for a few heartbeats. I don't know... I never used to be afraid of heights until...a couple of moons ago. Maybe it's because of my father dying.. Maybe I just started really feeling depressed.. Blazepaw thought as he looked up at Dovepaw.

"Thanks..." he said hearing Dovepaw compliment him. "Thanks..." he repeated.

Dovepaw sighed softly. Her eyes were averted, and she stared around at her surroundings. When the wind kicked up the leaves, she leapt after them on impulse, batting at the green leaves floating on the breeze with a paw. Shaking ehr head, she snapped out of her playing and returned to Blazepaw. Look, she said, we should probably go get our prey and go back, but before we do, I want you to know... I had a really good time, even with the...er... issues. I really like being with you, Blazepaw.

The solemn feel of the moment was lost as the she-cat leapt for Blazepaw and tagged him with a paw. You're it! she called gleefully over her shoulder, beginning to run away, but hesitating ever-so-slightly to be sure her was following. I hope I didn't ruin it again, she thought worriedly.

Blazepaw watched as Dovepaw leapt after the leaves. Blazepaw shook his head as if he was in a trance the whole time. A few heartbeats after Dovepaw returned,she had said that they should go get their prey. Blazepaw nodded in agreement. "Vaporstar would claw my ears off if he found out if the prey rotted. I also like being with you.." Blazepaw mewed, "...more than you even know," he meowed under his breath.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, Dovepaw has hit him with her paw. After she ran off saying, 'Tag, you're it!', Blazepaw stayed there for only a few moments thinking, She's so great.. Blazepaw sprinted after the other apprentice, slowly catching up with her.

Dovepaw giggled as she saw him following her, and she sped up. But he caught up anyway, and he slid to a sudden stop to pick up her covered prey, then, laughing around her mouthful of fresh-kill, led the way back to camp. He's so much fun, she thought as they headed back.

Blazepaw continued to run, catching up with Dovepaw. The two of them both stopped and picked up their prey. Before Blazepaw ran off again, he hit Dovepaw with his paw and said, "Tag, now you're it!" His voice was a bit muffled because he had his kill in his mouth. He immediatly ran off towards the Thunderclan camp.

(Bleh Bleh Bleh Bleh Bleh Bleh Bleh Bleh Bleh Bleh!)

Dovepaw snorted her laughter and darted after him, weaving among the trees and bushes. Before long, she saw him and strove to go faster, trying to catch up. But before she could, the ThunderClan camp came into view, and she slowed up before she could barrel through the entrance. She giggled again and followed Blazepaw through, dropping off her prey at the fresh-kill pile and then tagging Blazepaw. No, she taunted playfully, You're it! Then, she tackled him, hopefully knocking him over. Since she was playing, her claws were sheathed as they 'fought'.

Blazepaw continued to sprint until the camp entrance came into view. He slowed down, padding into the camp. The two apprentices placed their kill in the fresh kill pile. 'No, you're it!' Dovepaw had said before she tackled him, knocking him over in the process. The two apprentices were play fighting. Blazepaw felt a little embarassed, play fighting in front of the fresh kill pile with Dovepaw.

Dovepaw rolled off him, laughing. She swatted half-heartedly at his shoulder, perking her ears up. Then, she stopped play-fighting. He looked uncomfortable. Instead, she got a mouse from the fresh-kill pile and took it over to the shade to eat. She flicked her tail to motion Blazepaw to follow. Want to share? she asked hopefully.
