The day was a beautiful one; the sun hung over the heads of the animals like a huge, shining beacon. The birds twittered in the trees. There was a slight breeze blowing, but not enough to make it cold. Scattered clouds where whisked about above their heads. In the shadow of her den, Roseleaf watched it all with a sigh. She sometimes wished she could be an apprentice again, but then she'd have never learned to save lives. Never learned the tricks of the trade. The she-cat stretched, her back arching and her tail in the air, before she strolled out from the den.

Her blue eyes scanned the camp, looking at all the cats gently. Her gaze found its way to the fresh kill pile. Her stomach growled, and Roseleaf discovered she hadn't eaten all morning. Carefully, she looked over the pile. Selecting a small fish, she batted it towards her and picked it up, carrying it back towards her den. She settled in front of it, crouching to eat. After she'd finished, she stood and went back into her den. Time to sort herbs.

Roseleaf went to the stores used for her herbs and began to check over them. Plenty of poppy seeds, enough chamomile... She continued murmuring under her breath as she checked through the herbs. Finally, she had finished. The silver she-cat sighed again. She was low on several needed herbs and would have to send someone to get them. Or, she could go herself. She nodded, resolving to go herself after a bit. Jasminestar would probably send someone with her. But she'd take things as they came. For now, she went through the herbs again, making a mental list of what she needed.

Tri-coloured she-cat stepped out from her den. Blinking for a moment as she was momentarily blinded by the sunlight. Standing up, she looked over the camp from where she was, seeing that everything was going to schedule. Looking towards the fresh-kill pile, Jasminestar noted that she would have to set up a hunting party to go and gather some more food. Even though she was hungry, the calico leader did not eat. No, she would save the remains for the rest of the clan. Hearing Roseleaf in her den, Jasminestar walked to the front of it. "Good morning Roseleaf," She said kindly, and listened as she counted her herbs. "Would you like an apprentice to help you gather some?" She asked, then wondered in her mind if there were any free apprentices or not.

Roseleaf muttered to herself as she finished sorting the herbs. She looked back over her handiwork and made several notes of what was needed. When Jasminestar appeared and asked if she needed an apprentice, Roseleaf didn't even look up. Hm? Oh, yes, that would be lovely, she said sweetly. She looked up, finished with her memorization. But if they're all busy, I can wait. We're not out of anything that is a major herb. She smiled at her leader kindly. Would she be going out now, or later? It was all the same to her, really.
