R'ton stretched his limbs as he waited for all of the graduated riders that Aleyeska had to show up. Things had been getting lax over the cold winter and put aside with the hub bub of the gold flight and then soon there after the hatching. Well now with D'sol on Weyrling Duty he was going to take back the Weyr through brute force and put everyone back into shape. There was no way that riders could fly when thread was in the sky if they were all limp noodles, and chalked full of extra flab. While the harvest had been immense and had more than lasted them through out the winter there was still the fact that even he had put on a few extra pounds in that time period and that was simply unacceptable. So, if he had to run and work out to get back into shape, so did the rest of his "crew."

They are going to be grouchy you are waking them up like this... Are you sure we can't wait until mid day?

no, because it was that sort of laze that is getting us into this mess in the first place. please call them all to attention. You will take their dragons and fly up and down the valley three laps worth. that will get you and them more than warmed up. the blues and greens can handle it easy enough.

All riders and dragons who are old enough to go where they please! Report to the bowl, riders dropped off my R'ton and then land on the upper rim with me!

Hmm, about time they call us to action. Zaliranth said with an unimpressed dragon snort.

'What do you mean? Who's calling?' S'tre asked already awake and in his weyr, relaxing though he was dressed and thinking about his night with Kya... still a little in shock from it all since it was his first time. Though he hid it well, it hadn't left him in the best of minds due to his doubt in himself that was still there no matter how much he'd matured from all this.

R'ton calls for another training I'm sure. You are up, lets be off. I don't like the mood your thoughts are putting you in. This will make us both feel better.

S'tre got up and grabbed his riding jacket and harness and hurried to ready his dragon before climbing on his back. 'What mood? I'm fine. I was just thinking, I always do when I wake up.'

You doubt yourself too much love. You are stronger than that, that is why I chose you. And we flew well together. Now lets fly again.

And with that, Zaliranth made fast to take S'tre before R'ton, landing right and letting him dismount before taking off to join his sire on the ledge beside him, holding his head high in the morning sun as he landed and greeted his elder.

"Morning R'ton. I see many of the others weren't so prepared for this." S'tre said as he approached and looked around seeing none were even in the air yet as he stepped next to his mentor, now friend.

Must we fly so early? I want to play with the weyrlings. Avinoth begged as V'rik strived to get ready as fast as he could, but had been caught fast asleep in his weyr.

"Yes, so get up and stretch. I'm trying to hurry myself and R'ton doesn't like waiting long. You know that." V'rik called to him as he scurried.

When ready at last, they took off together, arriving a good 5 minutes after S'tre had and possibly after many others. V'rik jumped off his dragon almost before he landed and ran up to salute R'ton. "Sorry sir, I did not expect this." He said carefully.

Waking up this early in the morning was not something either Domolth or Z'ral had been anticipating, nor were they particularly happy about it. The bronze was the first of the pair to wake, grumbling a little as he stretched and shook the sleep from his mind.

'Z'ral, get up. We've been called to the bowl. It would be wise not to waste time in getting there either.' the dragon poked at Z'ral's mind a few times until the rider finally sat up.

"What's this you're going on about? Don't you know how early it is?" He mumbled, though he was fully aware of why he was being woken up. With a stretch and a yawn, he got about quickly dressing. After a minute or so he was clothed and mounting his dragon. Rider secured, Domolth winged his way down to where R'ton was waiting. Once Z'ral was safely on the ground, the bronze joined the other dragons.

"Morning R'ton." Z'ral greeted the weyrsteward politely, as well as offering a nod in the direction of the other two riders.

Kimara had been up early that morning. Sleep had been patchy that night, though for some reason she still felt like she'd had a full night's sleep. This was for the better she assumed, and better not to question it. It was a particular relief when she got the call down to the bowl. At least she was awake.

Aerimeth, on the other hand, had been asleep, but thankfully not deeply. She was only dozing in the early morning air when she was summoned. Not wasting much time, the green informed her rider and looked out to the bowl where activity was already picking up.

"Give me a minute, Love. Thankfully I'm dressed, so I'll be right out." Kimara called to her green as she finished up what she was doing. Aerimeth huffed impatiently from the ledge.

'What could they possibly want this early?' the dragon asked of her rider as she prepared to take to the air. She was more curious than annoyed, really.

I couldn't say for sure, Aeri, but we'd best not take too long getting there. Kimara responded. The last part of her statement was more or less unnecessary as they were already nearing the weyrsteward.

Hopping off, Kimara joined the other riders and greeted them all kindly. Aerimeth made her way back up to rim quickly and took her place among the others. The three bronzes present easily dwarfed the green, but she didn't seem to notice or care.

Thankfully, throughout her life, Ada had been used to waking up early, often before dawn. It was a habit that bled over from her trading days into dragonriding that she had found very handy. The freshest klah was always in the early morning, as were piping hot meatrolls, and the baths were always empty. It was the latter where Ada found herself when Abyth told her of Rondoth's summons and the greenrider frantically leapt from the water to dress. She didn't even bother tying a towel around her hair, just threw it into a tail after roughly pulling on her layers of clothing. Wishing she had more time to prepare, Ada ran out of the baths to meet her waiting dragon.

Hurry, Ada, we cannot be late, the green dragon said, urging her rider faster as she fanned her wings nervously. Rondoth doesn't sound like he'd take to us being late very well. Not after how proud he was of us on Graduation.

"I know, love, I know," Ada responded, remembering the hug the bronzerider had given her along with her knots. The greenrider pulled herself astride her dragon, one hand fastening the straps by rote, the other pulling up her scarf around her neck. The wind was still cold, even for spring. The green jumped into the air as soon as she felt her rider secure and winged her way towards R'ton's weyr. Landing on the ledge, Abyth dropped off her rider before joining the other dragons on the Rim.

Morning Rondoth, brothers, sisters, she said with a bubbly tone, loving the crisp morning air.

Ada walked into the weyr after watching her dragon leave. She never got enough of watching Abyth in flight. "Morning all," she said quietly as she entered. Not quietly in nervousness, but in case any of the others riders didn't happen to be morning people.

R'ton smiled a tad sardonically as each member of his Weyr showed up blurry eyed in some cases and downright grumpy looking in others. D'sol who came trodding up through the middle of everything with his blue Binth had a huge grin on his face. R'ton thought that it was a bit of a hilarious spectacle what with the Smith being one of the only people in the Weyr to be up before a hungry dragonet. But there he was and it was time to start.

"Excellent to have you all join us on this fine crisp morning. Thank the shell for us living in the north and higher reaches of the mountains. At least it will serve to keep us cool on our trip around the bowl today. Fall in after me according to size and we shall begin. No D'sol that doesn't mean you get to lead..."

Meanwhile Rodonth was addressing all of the dragons who arrived.

Now, all of you who aren't already up on the rim with me please get there quickly. You are to fall in behind me and we are going to be doing laps up and down the valley. Any cheater who goes between to skirt work will have to go back to the ground and you and your rider will be doing a more rigorous set of work. Understood?

The large bronze dragons voice was deeper than it had been, and had a much more commanding tone. Rodonth obviously feeling his inches and age above most of the other dragons except for a few older browns and blues that had transfered up when they came to Aleyeska. With large powerful strokes he took off into the air and waited until everyone was lined up behind him. Then he took off at a medium pace down up the valley of Aleyeska and headed towards the far point where a glacier still lurked.

R'ton meanwhile on the ground did he same thing of waiting until everyone fell in behind him and then took off at a steady jog. They would be going for endurance, not speed after all.
