normal config

the best way is to first do com_maxfps 500 then do com_hunkMegs 200 (about half ur ram) then press escape go to setup then video then keep clicking on the video quality menu till u get to fastest then click apply changes ur jk2 should like look like it restarted but ur still on the server and the sky should be black (if u dont like the black sky do r_fastsky 0)

system priority (windows xp only)

this is a very good way to increase ur fps by increasing thr priority of ur jk2....if u dont know how to do this then listen carfully

hold alt Ctrl and press delete, the windows task manager should then pop up once it has go to the processes tab and find the one with the name jk2mp.exe and right click it after that go to set priority then chooses above normal high or real time

(i recommend above normal because high or real time might damage ur machine in which i take no responcibilty off )

when u buy a pc sometimes they have a thing called automatic graphics were ur pc dosent need a graphics card and it is already ok for all those everyday pc things (like viewing pictures derr) but this however is not ok for games, i tried every single thing above here what iv written and the most best way to increase ur fps is to actually buy a graphics card...any pc which has automatic graphics would benefit from even the crappest graphics card.when i got my new tower had 40 fps so i installed/got some1 to install me a new graphics card (nvidia GeForce FX 5700LE) and my fps shot right up to 300 i was like w00t this owns...then i found out my graphics card was no were near the best graphics card u can buy..and i got 300 fps on it! so yeah get urself a new graphics card the price is around min£40-£300 max (dunno how much that is in dollars) but yeah it helped me alot (there 2 types of graphics cards so best find out what type ur pc accepts first )

and now for summit every1 hates lag...easy..shut down ur msn xfire and everything else (part from firewall or antivirus) then type msconfig in run and u should get a system config utility box come up from there go to service's and untick the box of the things u dont use (i ticked of my error reporting because..that just annoys the crap outta me)

OVERCLOCK (warning dont take this 2 far it could damage and reduce the life of ur system)

theres a thing called overclock were you make your pc's cpu or your pc's graphics card go faster beyond the manufactures alreasy set speed...iv been told that most cpu's have been set lower than they can actually go anyway..but its still a risk

my nvidia graphics card could be overclocked without these tools all i did was right click then go to properties then click on the settings tab then the advanced option then GE force FX 5700LE (my graphics card) then i went to clock frequency settings and i was able to over clock from there and test them

Another suggestion (Tho dont take this too far) Overclock u graphics card... and over clock ur processor it imporves with about 20 % avarage

FFS, lawl Trunks if I set the priority higher I get lag spikes

So I dropped that... and my Videocard wont overclock lol.. with my old one I did it in 10 minutes now I cant find the poopeh... where to do it '

lol u got lag spikes my pc was fine it boosted my fps by like 25

if ur video card has a website try going there they might have a overclocking tool like nvidia

I have an Nvidia 5200 FX (the 256 mb edition tho)

I didn't find anything for it... ill try again o_O

lol i reformatted my pc 2day and i was like What The Honk?! why cant i over clock my video card so after about 30 mins of searching i found *clicky* this by default nvidia dont let you overclock, but by following this u can over clock it (and it works iv tried it i overclocked mine )
