In spite of the best efforts of school, work, and real life, we're not (quite) dead. However, since Chris was running the current SL, and Chris is otherwise occupied at the moment, I've had to knock together an alternative. Luckily, I've enough time on my hands to run one now...

England, like most of the world, is still coming to grips with the existance of metahumanity. Many fear the students and faculty of Academia Mutandis, and the strange powers they possess...and a recent spate of violence in the city of Plymouth apparently involving metas has only made matters worse. Between a resurgence of neo-Nazis protesting the massive influx of foreign students, to increasing anti-metahuman protests, Plymouth has become dangerous for AM students.
But where some see danger, others see opportunity. Even as construction began at AM, Tavistock, a small city on the fringes of AM, has sought to fill the void (and jump-start its own economy) with the construction of Academy Square. BUilt to cater to both Academia Mutandis and the existing Tavistock College, Stores, restaurants, theatres, arcades, live entertainment, pubs for the older students--all the conveinences of a college town within easy walking distance of the campus. Many see Academy Square as an experiment, an opportunity to see if metas can live, work, and interact with "normal" humans, and are watching it closely.
But many anti-meta groups are unhappy with this development, and are determined to undermine the projewct at all costs. And a criminal organizations sees an opportunity to recruit metas from AM for their own nefarious purposes. With their reputation already takign a beating, can the students and staff of Academia Mutandis keep their dream alive?
