New Gear for 13s, Where can Qlders buy new gear for 13s?

Hey NSW 13 sailors,
We Queenslanders are after a new mast fully rigged, new boom and centreboard and rudder. Where are the best places to buy these??

For a mast you can go through either Manly or Middle Harbour skiff clubs, they have them stocked up. I'm not sure who is rigging them at the moment, maybe Sheerline Spars or Minter Rigging...? This is probably a question for Josh seeing as he just got a new boat. You could just buy the blank mast with track from Sydney and get it rigged somewhere up in QLD.

Boom you can get through the rigger who does your mast. For the foils just go to a local boat builder with the class rules and they can sort you something that fits with the boat.

The problem we have down here atm is Jamstix who did all the rigs up til last year have closed, and Kulmar who built all the newest boats has just closed as well.

dunno about a mast because baz organized most of it with some guy at Belmont but i would just find a local rigger and get them to do it so u save money with shipping
the booms these days are just alloy drain pipes haha
na i dunno what a good boom section is as ours is a different shape to everyone else but still bends heaps so get a stiff one

with the foils just get Mark Thorpe http://www.thorpeboats.com/ to make one as he is building the latest 13 and the foils for it(i think) they would be the best.


also make sure u spray your foils orange as its faster haha
