I am very sad that you are leaving the class as you have been a great competitor, great for the class particularly in QLD and just an all-round good bloke.
Enjoy whatever it is that is taking you away from the class.

To all.

I have the oportunity to move the boat to my home in Geelong within the next month.
I will be returning to Brisbane to collect, then driving south. If you think I should take a detour through Sydney or nearby surrounds, let me know now so that i can make the necessary arrangements.

for those who are asking;

The rigs are all identical set up - no strange bits of string or wire; choose the rig put it in, no thought required.

This is the third boat i have built for myself to sail, and my track record is pretty good, the previous two hulls have both won National titles (Bradford Jones Bus 1996 and Eastcoast Piling 2004) plus numerous top five finishes. My immediate previous hull (Gob Smacked Dwarves / East Coast Piling ) also won the 2003 interdominions as well as numerous top 5 placings.

So far Giddy-up does not have a long track record as i have only sailed her for less than half a season, and was just starting to get the hang of her. There have been glimses of her potential, but these were typically stifled by dodgy boat handling and poor tactics.

Hope this helps answer the questions.
